This unique show will bring together some of London’s most exciting singer/songwriters to explore the many ways in which songs can bring us together. 

SAHRA is a Lewisham based musician/vocalist of Somali/German descent. Her own music is rooted in Jazz and Soul but for this one off performance she is creating an opportunity for singers and songwriters to come together and explore each others work.

“Singers traditionally work alone: we stand at the front, often singing alone but what happens when we become part of a collective, standing beside other singers, from different backgrounds and let them reinterpret our words?”

Alongside the performance is a free workshop  for 15-18 year olds. SAHRA will lead a vocal workshop on Jun 15th from 1-3pm. Those attending the workshop will be given the opportunity to take part in the evening performance. 

SAHRA has worked with Dele Sosimi, Cleveland Watkiss, SecretSundaze, Ashley Henry and more. She currently produces her own music and teaches Jazz Voice and Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance. Her new platform “Sistrum” is all about bringing free and accessible music to the local community.
